How do I use ChatGPT to find and vet UGC creators?
A ChatGPT workflow for finding UGC creators: the connector that gives it TikTok and Instagram data, the prompts, the numbers to check, and how to draft outreach it never sends.

TLDR
ChatGPT's browsing finds articles about creators, not creators. Without Klayson's data it will invent handles.
Connect Klayson (Settings, Connectors, paste the address) and ChatGPT can search creators by topic, read their last 30 posts, and see which already appear in Meta ads.
Prompt with the topic and the constraints in one sentence; ChatGPT turns them into a Klayson search.
Check median views, view-based engagement and views per follower on each Klayson card. Ignore the follower count.
ChatGPT drafts the outreach; you send it. Klayson never contacts a creator.
What changes when ChatGPT has the data?
Without a connector, "find me skincare UGC creators" gets you a list of names ChatGPT has seen somewhere, some real, some not, none with current numbers. With the connector, the same sentence runs a search across TikTok and Instagram, reads each candidate's profile and last 30 posts, and comes back with creators you can click.
How do I connect ChatGPT to the ads data?
ChatGPT's browsing returns pages about ads, not the ads themselves, and it cannot open the Meta Ad Library. A connector fixes that: Klayson's server speaks MCP, and ChatGPT's custom connectors use it.
- Open ChatGPT, then Settings, then Connectors (on some plans this sits under Apps and Connectors, and Developer mode has to be on).
- Choose Create, name it Klayson, and paste the address:
https://api.klayson.com/mcp - Sign in to Klayson when asked. Search is free; the agent and creator lists are on a plan.
- In a new chat, enable the Klayson connector from the tools menu. ChatGPT then uses it when a question needs the data.
The prompts
Discovery, with the constraints in the sentence:
Find creators already posting about skincare routines on TikTok and Instagram, under 100k followers, with a public business email. Show median views, engagement rate and any paid posts.
In Klayson, ask for “skincare creators” and you get the creators already posting about it, with the numbers from each creator’s last 30 posts.
Get startedVetting:
Rank these by view-based engagement and consistency. Flag anyone with views per follower under 1%.
Ad experience, the signal only the ad index has:
Which of these have already appeared in skincare ads on Meta? Show the advertiser and how long the ad ran.
Reading a shortlist:
Read the top three posts of the first two creators and tell me whether they show the product in the first three seconds and whether they mention prices.
Outreach:
Draft a first message to the second creator about one 30-second video for a vitamin C serum. Name the post of theirs that made me reach out. Under 80 words. Ask what they charge for one video.
How do I read the numbers?
- Median views: what a typical post reaches. One viral post does not count.
- Engagement rate (view based): likes, comments, shares and saves over views, median of the last 30. Over 5% is strong for product content.
- Views per follower: median views over followers. Over 1 means the algorithm carries them; under 1% is bought followers.
- Paid posts: Instagram's paid-partnership flag and TikTok's ad flag over the last 30. A few means experience; most means a billboard.
ChatGPT is told to label engagement as view based or follower based, and never to invent a rate card. If you ask what a creator charges, the honest answer is that nobody knows until you ask them.
Save the shortlist
Save the top five to a list called "Q4 skincare".
They are in your Klayson bookmarks with the numbers, and next week's search starts from them.
